Jake Hollander, LMSW
Jake (he/him/his) believes everyone deserves to live a full and meaningful life. This belief informs his person-and-environment, empathetic approach. Jake assists clients in detecting how specific patterns in emotions, behaviors, thoughts, and environments may hold us back from our true potential. In doing so, he also empowers clients to identify and implement skills and strategies that engage strengths, solve problems, and generate meaning.
Prior to joining the practice, Jake served adolescents and adults on the inpatient units of Shady Grove Medical Center. Additionally, he provided evidence-based care to young adults and adolescents in intensive-outpatient and partial-hospitalization programs for substance use and mental health at Sandstone Care. Before his social work career, he worked with nonprofits and nonpartisan public policy. Jake earned his Masters of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Maryland.
In his free time, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, creating music, watching hockey, and discussing philosophy.
