Janina Gunderson, LMSW
Janina Gunderson received her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work, where she took part in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training program and lab under Andre Ivanoff, Ph.D. While there, she spent a year interning at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates and Counseling Center Group, where she practiced DBT with adults, teens, and parents in an outpatient setting. Janina graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. Prior to attending Columbia, she volunteered at Samaritans Suicide Hotline, where she provided support and crisis care to callers. Janina is licensed and able to provide services in Maryland, DC, Virginia, and New York.
Janina speaks English and German fluently and in her free time enjoys weightlifting, running, attending concerts, and fostering rescue animals.
