Emma Young, LCSW-C
Emma (she/her/hers) works predominantly with adolescents (ages 10+) and young adults dealing with severe emotion dysregulation. She is passionate about helping young people name, process and cope with their big emotions in healthy ways. She has experience supporting individuals with depression, panic attacks, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, and disordered eating. Emma is also trained in exposure and response prevention (ERP) and has treated clients with specific phobias and OCD.
Emma is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work in Advanced Clinical Practice. While in graduate school she was a part of the DBT Training Program and Lab where she received intensive training and consultation in the treatment of suicidal adolescents and adults. In addition to her time at the DBT Center, Emma has experience working in residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
When not working, Emma loves to knit, be outdoors and spend time with friends and family.
