Call Trevenen, LCPC
Call (they/them) is a queer clinician who strives to practice in affirming and culturally competent ways. They believe that therapy is about learning to organize our behavior around our values and commitments, even in the face of difficult thoughts and emotions. Working with Call will involve approaching your pain in new ways so that you can create a life that is meaningful to you. In addition to providing individual therapy, Call enjoys working with parents to provide empathy-building and behaviorally grounded parent coaching.
Growing up in a military household, and being themselves a veteran, they have lived across the United States. Call finally settled in Baltimore after attending Johns Hopkins University, where they received their Masters Degree in Counseling. They practice Contextually-focused DBT (C-DBT), which incorporates the psychological flexibility model from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into the structure and format of DBT.
When not in session, Call enjoys rock climbing, reading mystery novels, and playing board games. They always have a candle burning and are forever working to expand their record collection.
